What can I do if a contract has been deleted?

After the deletion of a web hosting package, the package itself as well as the data, databases, and email addresses managed by it are recoverable for 7 days. Please note that individual components cannot be reactivated separately until the complete package has been restored.

If your web hosting package was deleted at the end of a billing period due to termination or non-payment, you will automatically receive an invoice for the new billing period after a successful restoration. If your account is prepaid, please credit your account first, otherwise the package restoration cannot be performed.

We do not keep automatic backups of your data for more than 7 days. If the deletion of your web hosting product dates back more than 7 days, a restoration of the original product is not possible. However, you still have the option to reserve a new web hosting product and restore a local backup of your data.

If you wish to restore a deleted package, please contact hosting.fr support at support@hosting.fr for guidance on how to proceed.

Domains are generally recoverable 30 days after deletion. However, this recovery is chargeable. The costs vary depending on the domain extension. The exact fees will be displayed to you in the hosting.fr client portal before restoration.

To initiate the restoration of a deleted domain, proceed as follows:

  • Click on “Products”.
  • Click on “Domains”.
  • Select “Show details” for the domain to be restored. If you manage a large number of domains, you may need to click “Show all” to get a complete overview of your domains.

If your domain has not been deleted, but has been transferred in transit, you will generally be contacted within a few days by the central allocation office by post and you will receive data from which you can recover your domain from transit. Please contact the competent allocation office in case of doubts. For .de domains, this is Denic, for .at domains, it is nic.at. You will find the contact options on denic.de and on nic.at.

If you are not sure whether your domain has been deleted or transferred in transit, you can track the appropriate transactions at any time in the “Domains” -> “Orders” menu:
