My domain only displays “It works!”

If your domain only displays the server’s standard message “It works!”, this generally indicates one of the following issues:

  • The domain has not been properly configured and the web server is trying to load data from the wrong folder:
In this case, check your domain’s configuration in the web space and ensure that the chosen folder path matches the upload folder.

  • Select the “Products” point on the left in the menu.

  • Select the “Web Hosting” sub-point in the “Products” menu.

  • Under the domain name to be processed, select the “Show details” point. If you manage a large number of domains or subdomains in a web space, you may need to click “Show all” to get a complete overview of your domains.

Check Path 01

  • In the “General Data” section, you will see under “Path” the subdirectory of the public HTML folder that is currently associated with the domain. If you want to change this directory, please click the “Edit” button.
Attention: It is not recommended to change the directory path for installations via the one-click installer in the client interface. In this case, the installer creates and configures an individual directory. If you change this directory, your CMS will no longer be accessible afterward.

Check Path 02

  • Adjust the path as desired and save your changes. If you want the domain’s data to be loaded directly from the HTML root directory, put a dot in the “Path” field.

Check Path 03

  • No website data has yet been uploaded to the domain’s folder:
In this case, upload your website to the folder chosen during the domain configuration.

  • There is both an “index.html” file and an “index.php” file in the domain’s main directory and the server is calling the wrong file:
Check the saved data and possibly delete the unnecessary index file.
