What are all these folders in my web space? Can I delete them?
In your web space, you will find among others the following system folders, which are automatically created when setting up your web space:
“data” is a folder accessible only via FTP and SSH, where you can for example store backup files.
“html” is the directory through which your website data is accessible externally. If you manage more than one domain within the same web space, it is recommended to create a separate subdirectory for each domain in “html”.
“logs” is the directory where the web server records important diagnostic and warning messages.
These folders are essential for the proper functioning of your web space. Therefore, you cannot delete them.
As a general rule, before deleting data or folders, make sure they are not necessary for the proper functioning of your website. If you have any doubts, please contact hosting.fr support at support@hosting.fr beforehand.
