I can no longer send emails via my web space!
In general, it is necessary to distinguish between sending emails via the web space/PHP mail() such as order confirmations, contact forms, etc., and sending emails via a POP3/IMAP or Exchange mailbox. Different reasons can explain why emails can no longer be sent. How you can resolve sending issues via your email mailbox is found in the help center article “I can no longer send emails via my mailbox!”.
Please note that both forms of email sending are subject to server-side limits to prevent spam and keep the load on our infrastructure within reasonable limits.
In general, our shared web hosting packages are not designed for resource-intensive use such as regular newsletter sending. If you need to regularly manage large email lists, using a dedicated mail server may be recommended. Feel free to contact us for in-depth advice on this at support@hosting.fr.
The causes of the inability to send emails via the web space may include, among others:
- You are trying to send more emails than the server-imposed limit allows.
- The form or script used has configuration errors.
- The web space has been restricted and blocked for sending, for example, due to spam sending via a vulnerability or unsecured contact form.
Sending errors via PHP mail() can possibly be traced in the error logs. You can find them in your web space in the “/logs” folder, at the same directory level as “/html”.
If local or configuration conflicts can be excluded, please contact hosting.fr support by providing the exact error message at support@hosting.fr.
