How to configure Outlook 2016?

Start Outlook 2016.
If this is the first mailbox you are configuring in Outlook 2016, Outlook welcomes you with this startup screen. Confirm the configuration by clicking “Next”.

If you want to configure your hosting.fr email account in addition to an existing account, select the “File” menu at the top left after starting Outlook.
In the “Information” section, now select “+ Add Account”

In the “Your Name” field, enter the name that should appear to recipients of your emails as the sender.
In the “Email Address” field, enter the complete email address of the mailbox to be configured.
In the “Account Type” field, choose the desired mailbox type. IMAP is recommended for easy synchronization of your device with other email clients.
In the “Incoming mail server” field, enter mail.routing.net.
In the “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” field, enter mail.routing.net.
In the “User Name” field, enter the complete address of the mailbox to be retrieved.
In the “Password” field, enter the password of your email account to be retrieved. If you want to save the password, check the “Remember password” box. Otherwise, you can enter the password each time you connect.
Click on “More Settings” after entering your information.

In the “Outgoing Server” tab, select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”.

The ports to configure in your email program depend on how you use your mailbox (IMAP or POP3) and the desired encryption:

Confirm your settings by clicking “OK” then click “Next” in the “POP and IMAP Account Settings” menu.
Outlook now connects to the server and sends a test email to the mailbox you just configured.

If the test is successful, you can finish the test by clicking the “Close” button. The account is now configured.
