How to configure Apple Mail?

• Start Apple Mail on your Mac computer or laptop. (For mailbox configuration on Apple iPhones, please refer to the corresponding guide.)
• To configure a new email account, select the “Other Mail Account” option.

• In the “Name” field, enter the email address of the account you want to configure.
• In the “Email Address” field, enter the email address of the account you want to configure.
• In the “Password” field, enter the password of the email account to be retrieved.

• Apple Mail now performs a standard test with the most common email mailbox settings. However, this usually fails for hosting.fr mailboxes and generates the message “Username/password not verified”.

• Now fill in the missing information in the input mask:
  • In the “Username” field, enter the email address of the account you want to configure.
  • In the “Account Type” field, select the desired mailbox type. IMAP is recommended here for easy synchronization of your device with other email clients.
  • In the “Incoming Mail Server” field, enter mail.routing.net.
  • In the “Outgoing Mail Server” field, enter mail.routing.net.

• Click “Sign In”.
• After successfully connecting to the account, select the applications that should be associated with this account.
• Complete the configuration by clicking “Done”.
