.ru Domain

.ru is the Latin alphabet Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Russia introduced on 7 April 1994. The Russian alphabet internationalized country code is .рф. Control of .ru is assigned to the Coordination Center for TLD RU (CC for TLD RU), the current official registry. On 1 January 2005, the former registry, the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN), stopped new registrations directly under .ru, but still carried out registry operations for domain names under the second-level domains .com.ru, .net.ru, .org.ru and .pp.ru. The company RELCOM also proposes third-level registrations beneath various second-level domains such as .msk.ru (Moscow), while Macomnet Telcom proposes third-level registrations beneath .int.ru simultaneously.

Transfer

Once the transfer has been triggered in our system, the domain must be pushed into our system.

After a transfer, our system synchronizes the domain owner from the registry to our system. If possible, you can initiate an owner change if you want to replace the synchronized owner.

After initiating a transfer, each contact receives the following instructions in our system:

to transfer a .RU domain, please follow these steps:

1. You now have to log in to the .RU web interface using his NIC-D handle and password. This information can be requested at at https://www.nic.ru/en/cgi/pass_forgot.cgi
2. Once logged in, please navigate to "Form > Change partner". There, use our NIC-REG handle: 18108/NIC-REG to transfer the domain to us.

Shortly after the transfer in the .RU web interface, the transfer will be completed.

Owner Change

Owner change is not supported. It is not possible to change the owner of a domain name.
